Trainers Workshop – Advanced First Aid

The Advanced First Aid Course provides the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to a casualty. The unit applies to all workers who may be required to provide a first aid response in a range of situations‚ including community and workplace settings.

Provide Advanced First Aid is designed for personnel who are required to undertake advanced first aid in response to emergencies. This course aims to provide participants with the theoretical knowledge and practical competencies to respond effectively to emergencies in the workplace or otherwise and render first aid aligned with the current Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines.

Pre-requisite: There are no pre-requisites for this course
Minimum age: 14 years
Course Length: 14 hours

Units of Competency:
Upon successful course completion‚ participants will be issued a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment with the following units of competency:

• HLTAID009 Perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
• HLTAID010 Provide Basic Emergency Life Support
• HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
• HLTAID014 Provide Advanced First Aid

Re-Accreditation: 3 years (CPR 12 months)
Level of English: A reasonable level of English is required to be able to complete this course successfully
