TAE Information

In 2016, the TAE40110 was superseded and replaced with TAE40116 which on 7 December 2022 was also superseded by the TAE40122. ASQA currently allow trainers who hold the older TAE40110 to continue training provided they hold two particular units. The TAE40116 is presently in its teach out period. We are expecting that at some stage ASQA will announce that the minimum requirement to be a trainer and assessor for an RTO will be the TAE40116 or TAE40122, meaning those with the TAE4011 will no longer be able to be a trainer and assessor.

It is still possible to upgrade from the TAE40110 to a TAE40116 with gap training, however this window of opportunity is very quickly closing, there is only about one or two months left to enrol in a course. Once this window of opportunity closes, if ASQA do make the above announcement, you may need to complete the entire TAE40122 (as you are unlikely to be able to upgrade from aTAE40110 to a TAE40122), and pay a full course fee, which could possibly cost $3K. We strongly recommend that you upgrade now, and we have attached some brochures of two RTO’s (Plenty Training and BluePrint CD Training) that offer this upgrade course, however you may be able to find another RTO.
